9 Aug 2019 The 'Dora the Explorer' movie is pretty much exactly how you thought it would turn out. It ain't great, folks!

Based on the popular animated TV series “Dora the Explorer,” James Bobin’s “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” follows the adventures of an intrepid teenage explorer in search of a legendary city in South America. Dora (Isabela Moner) is anything but your average kid.

DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD is an entertaining movie, but it’s hard to determine the movie’s targeted age group for this movie, because the original DORA THE EXPLORER was geared to a much younger age group, and this movie seems more geared toward teenagers, like the tween version that Nickelodeon introduced in 2009.
